The Westchester Review’s “Writers Under 30” Contest The Westchester Review, a literary journal publishing the poetry and prose of the writers of New York’s Westchester County, is now accepting submissions for its first “Writers Under 30” Contest. The rules are as follows: The contest is open to writers of poetry and fiction who live, work, study or grew up in Westchester County, N.Y., and who are under the age of 30 as of March 15, 2012. We will award a prize for fiction and another for poetry. Winners will receive $100, publication in our upcoming issue, and two copies of The Westchester Review. Runners-up will be considered for publication. Deadline is March 15, 2012. Writers can submit unpublished work of up to three poems or a short story (5000 word maximum). Submit your work to submissions@westchesterreview.com, with your name, phone number and email address in a cover letter. Please write “Contest” in the subject line. There is a $10 reading fee for each submission, which can be paid through the Pay Pal link on the “Contests” tab of our website, www.westchesterreview.com.
