Gosh, I love this contest! It’s one of my favorite events of the fall. Happy to see the word count back up to 1,000 words this year (500 was a bit confining, even for me, and I love microfic.)
Are multiple submissions okay this year, or would you prefer we limit our entries to one per author?
Every Writer says

Curse Of The Werewolves
i was out of breath when we got there, We had finally gotten to the old stoker’s castle. My friend josh and our three other friends tom, kelsey and my girlfriend ashley. As we walked up to the castle Ashley clutched my arm. Josh opened the door and informed us that everything was going to be fine, but I knew that he wasn’t really sure if that was true. Besides the only reason why we came was to help josh’s grandmother treat her illness, so here we are at his grandmother’s house.
“She’s nowhere in sight tom said.” “Come on tom, she’s around here somewhere.” Tom mimicked him behind his back. As we were searching around I saw a bottle lying on the floor. I picked it up to see what it was, it had some kind of blue serum and it had an engraving of a moon on it. I ended up Picking it up, then I went on searching like nothing had happened. As tom was searching he saw a beast in the distance. But it wasn’t just any beast it was a werewolf. It had large red eyes and a full body of fur on it. We just stood there paralyzed, and if the werewolf thing
wasn’t strange enough it started to speak and it said directly to me. “Give me that bottle now!” As I reached out my shaking hand with the bottle in it the beast snatched it right out of my hand and quickly gulped the serum down. All of a sudden the beast transformed back into a
human and that human turned out to be josh’s grandmother! Josh ran up to her and hugged her. “I love you so much.” Josh said to his grandmother. From now on we as a group were known as the kids who had stopped the curse of the werewolves. After that the curse of the werewolves had been cured. We ended up finding out more about the situation, like how josh’s grandmother was getting chased by her own neighbors. Well it turns out the neighbors didn’t know that the werewolf was actually her. About the potion, it was made by rare herbs and spices and minerals most of mankind didn’t even know existed. So that the story about the illness they call the curse of the werewolves.
