In 1988 he made his appearance unexpected and bright. Alex Nasekin started his exhibition activity with his personal exhibition in Chuvash State art museum. Immediately afterwards a number of personal exhibitions were put on in Moscow, Weimar (Germany) and other cities.As of today this artist has 18 personal exhibitions all around Russia and abroad to his credit, a great number of group exhibitions and vernisages.
In May 2011 Alex Nasekin’s graphic sheets were awarded Grand Prix at International Exhibition & Competition of Contemporary Arts “Russian Art Week”.
The world that we see on Nasekin’s artworks is settled with people, however the atmosphere is surprising, poses are mysterious, and the objects are brought together in combinations obscure as it may see at first glance. This borderline is far nonrandom. It is called for by an amazing time insight – not only in past but in future as well.
Thus the number of artworks is quite varied: those are Biblical motifs, mythology and artist’s own philosophical symbolism as well as many other themes. But every single painting is very distinctive and recognizable due to the personal artist’s style.
