Information about the press: | Tumblehome Learning helps kids imagine themselves as young scientists or engineers and encourages them to experience science through adventure and self-guided discovery. We do this with exciting fiction and non-fiction books as well as fun experiments carefully designed to engage students from ages 7 to sixteen. Each book series we publish comes with a set of physical and online activities which allow readers to reproduce and extend the science they read about. |
What type of submissions you are looking for: | Are you a scientist interested in children?s books?? A children?s writer who loves science? Tumblehome Learning has opened submissions for children?s and YA adventure books, mystery books, and biographies that center around science themes.? Our science fiction and biography books fit a wide age range from 7-17.? We accept manuscripts 25K to 70K words in length, but no simultaneous submissions. Our readers are looking for an exciting story with a little bit of learning along the way.? THL readers are fans of ?fun facts? they can share with their friends and family.? Remember: the science in THL books center around real science.? The only aliens found in THL science fiction are microorganism fossils found in meteorites. |
Information on Suggestions on Submitting: | We will respond to general queries, but we prefer a cover letter, a book synopsis, and three chapters that best reflect your submission and your writing. THL publishes children?s and YA adventure and mystery books that center around science themes.? The science in submissions should be centered around real science, unless the adventure is in debunking bad science.?
