We are an independent, royalty based publishing company of literary fiction.

Mythic Dragon Publishing recognize the importance of a well-published book, and adhere to the highest standards of editing. Our publications rivals other small publishers.

Authors are not required to pay for any editing or promotional services. We are not a vanity press or self-publishing company.

Dear Potential Authors:

First of all, we want to thank you for your submissions. Second, we want to assure you that we take our job as a publisher seriously. We, however, are alarmed at how many really great stories we are turn away because of poorly edited manuscripts. If you are serous about getting your novel published as we are in publishing it. Then you must follow this simple step – Polish-Your-Manuscript. It’s the key to getting published. Your manuscript must be 90% ready to go before sending it to an agent or publisher. Editing, however, shouldn’t be done by the author. A beta or proofreader is just as crucial as your writing skills. Another issue that has us equally concerned is that authors are neglecting to read our submission guidelines. For instance, we do not publish manuscripts of first person narratives, nor those from children authors, which it clearly states in our guidelines. It’s imperative that potential authors follow our guidelines to the letter.

What type of Submissions are you looking for?:

A query letter with bio included. Include the following: your full real name and pen name if you’re using one, primary e-mail address and postal mailing address, home phone number and cell phone number, title of your manuscript, exact word count, genre and sub-genre, and a blurb about your story. Submit first three chapter (or 50 pages), of your polished manuscript, to us via e-mail as a Word Doc attachment only. Failure to do so in this format will result in the manuscript being returned to you to be reformatted and re-submitted. The Minimum requirements of the Word Document are 1 inch margins all around, 0.5 tab or indent with NO line spaces between paragraphs, Times Roman Font 12 pt and 1.5 or Double-spaced text for readability.
