From the Editor

Weasel Press is a new independent publisher still figuring things out in the literary world. We’re dedicated in seeking quality writers and helping them get a voice in an already loud world. We’re a little rusty at the moment since things are still under construction, but we hope to build a great reputation!

Our first publication was Vagabonds: Anthology of the Mad Ones, a literary magazine that is still printing and still growing. From there we’ve grown into a few other titles. This past year we’ve released two issues of Vagabonds, partnered with Mind Steady Productions to bring an electric issue of Open Mind, and dove into the darker world with The Haunted Traveler. We’ve got a lot of plans for the near future, so stick around and watch us grow into something awesome!

Submissions

Weasel Press has sort of a Beat Generation mentality when it comes down to it. When reviewing submissions to be accepted, we’re looking for works that show explicit portrayals of the human condition. We love to be immersed! At this time we are only accepting Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction, Poetry and Scriptwriting/Playwrights. Regarding poetry, we publish both Full Collections and Chapbooks!

Along with the above, We’re also dabbling in Horror and Science Fiction. We have an addiction to the weird tales. It’s no secret that the darker worlds of literature are strange and daunting, but there is a popular fad going around regarding paranormal romance which we would prefer to avoid. What we like to see are works that really dig into you as a reader. We love to be immersed! At this time we are only accepting Fiction. From Horror we accept: Paranormal Literature (not to be confused with paranormal romance), Grindhouse, Psychological Thrillers, Some cheesy B-material work, etc. We also accept a huge variety of Science Fiction; from Space Opera to Dystopian future. To get a better sense of what we like and what we accept, take a look at our Bi-annual anthology: The Haunted Traveler.

Weasel Press also manages 3 literary anthologies that frequently look for shorter works to feature. Persons interested in publishing a smaller work should look into our anthologies for our open periods.
