I was researching on literary journals to do a story on Malayalam Research Journal being brought out by Benjamin Bailey Foundation in Kottayam, Kerala, India for the last 13 years when I came across your site. Thank you. Great help. Facing acute survival problems, the above journal has just tripled its subscription rates from Indian Rupees 600 to 1300 per year. Malayalam is one of the officially recognized languages in India, spoken by those living in the tiny southern state of Kerala. I feel the steep hike of rate is suicidal. But the editor insists it is the only way out. After going through the comments you have listed, I understand this is a global problem. Thanks any way.
