From the Editor
Welcome to StoSo Press, where the realms of imagination come to life. Founded in 2023 as a passion project by writer and artist Gabriel De Leon who has a profound love for the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Our mission is to provide a platform for talented creators to showcase their work and for avid readers to explore new worlds, unearth the uncanny, and embark on thrilling journeys through the power of words and art. At StoSo Press, we believe that storytelling is a timeless art that transcends boundaries and connects people across the globe. We are dedicated to: Exploring the Unknown: Our Press is a portal to the uncharted territories of the human imagination. We seek out stories and artwork that challenge the limits of creativity and transport our readers to extraordinary places and situations. Celebrating Diversity: We embrace diversity in all its forms, promoting voices and perspectives from every corner of the Earth and beyond. We are committed to amplifying underrepresented voices within the genres we adore. Nurturing Creativity: StoSo Press is a nurturing environment for both emerging and established creators. We provide a space for writers and artists to experiment, grow, and share their unique visions with the world. We’re looking to publish great speculative fiction stories and art. Here are some of our current projects: StoSo Times StoSo Times is a monthly online publication that specializes in the genres of Fantasy, Sci-fi, and Horror. StoSo Times will be sent first as a newsletter edition, then shared on our website. Our goal is to publish at least one story and one poem per genre on our online editions. Every 12 months we will include the year’s publications in a print anthology. StoSo Ink This is what we call the section of our website where we share all the great fiction for free. While it does include works from StoSo Times, it may include other stories not featured in the newsletter. Rekindle Rekindle is an anthology series we’re working on that will feature older public domain works that helped pave the way for the modern speculative fiction genre. These will be published free in StoSo Ink in addition to being available in special edition hardcover and paperback editions. Other Projects Eventually we plan to expand into publishing novels and nonfiction as it relates to SFFH, such as thought-provoking essays, book reviews and recommendations, author interviews, excerpts from forthcoming books, and other noteworthy industry news. Additionally, we intend to release more SFFH anthologies, video and audio content to further explore the realms of speculative fiction.
