Information about your publication: | From interstellar literary clouds comes The Commanauts, a community of writers aiming to defy gravity. A space race in literature founded by author Nick Belardes, you’ll explore nonfiction, fiction, and in our Student Works section, you’ll discover writings from colleges and universities across America who don’t have on-campus zines or print anthologies. And that’s not all. Writings will be collected and published once a year in book or magazine form. That’s our Space Program at work. More info coming soon. At The Commanauts you’ll also find a portal to the Random Writers Workshop. Founded in 2009, this writing workshop is now a collaborative effort from Nick Belardes, Hectic Films, Russo’s Books and the CSU Bakersfield OLLI Program. You’ll also find a portal to an online CSUB Olli Program Photo Exhibit. |
What type of submissions you are looking for: | Fiction and creative nonfiction under 1,000 words. If you have more than 1,000 words and you want to still be considered, then send a synopsis of your work and the first 250 words. All submissions must be double-spaced and in Verdana font 10. Student Works Section: University and college programs (And our Random Writers Workshop) don’t all have outlets to publish their creative writing students. If you’re a professor, contact us. We want your students to be showcased. Are you a student? We accept 1,000 words or less of your best fiction, nonfiction or poetry. We reserve the right to reject formulaic genre writing. |
