Information about your publication: | Menacing Hedge is a quarterly journal of poetry, fiction and artwork, that is committed to fostering access to emerging and experimental poetry and prose. Ongoing publication is scheduled for the first weeks of July, October, January, and April. Menacing Hedge plans to publish a yearly Best of Print edition. Menacing Hedge will carefully archive all its editions to ensure that an author’s/artist’s work will remain on the web for many, many years to come. Regrettably, Menacing Hedge cannot pay its contributors at this time. |
What type of submissions you are looking for: | We want visceral poetry, prose and art that gives us a strange tingly rushing feeling. We want our eyes to dilate, our pores to open one by one, and our skin to break out in shivery gooseflesh. As fellow writers, we want to wish we wrote it and we want to hate you just a little for being so effing brilliant for creating whatever it is, first. Seriously. We also believe that brilliance comes in all forms, so please know that there are really no constraints. While we prefer poems, stories, art, and images of a darkish nature (dark humor is good too), we are open to anything that blows off the tops of our wobbly heads. We also understand that dark comes in all forms. Take aim. |
