The Cumberland River Review is an annual publication of new poetry, fiction, essays, and art.? The journal is produced by the department of English at Trevecca Nazarene University, in Nashville, Tennessee, and welcomes submissions from both national and international writers and artists.

Submissions
The Cumberland River Review accepts unsolicited submissions from both emerging and established writers.? While we read year round, our response to material received during the summer months (May, June, July, August) will be considerably slower.? We aim to maintain a regular response time of three months.? Please note that only unpublished material will be considered.? We read and encourage simultaneous submissions but ask that you let us know (via email) if part or all of your submission is accepted elsewhere.? We do not accept electronic or email submissions at this time.? Submissions should be sent by regular post to The Cumberland River Review, Trevecca Nazarene University, Department of English, 333 Murfreesboro Road, Nashville, Tennessee, 37210. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope to facilitate our reply.? The Cumberland River Review nominates work for the Pushcart Prize, Best New Poets, and the O. Henry Prize Series.? At this time, payment is in contributor copies.
The Cumberland River Review accepts submissions during the traditional academic year, September through April, and aims to maintain a regular response time of three months.
Please note that only previously unpublished material will be considered. We read and encourage simultaneous submissions but ask that you withdraw your work (or email us to effect a partial withdrawal) if your submission is accepted elsewhere.
