| Information about your publication: | Mixed Fruit is a quarterly literary magazine that publishes fiction, nonfiction, poetry, translations, visual art, and other miscellaneous categories (see guidelines for more info). Our aesthetic is, as our name suggests, quite mixed. Our editors range from the very traditional to the highly experimental, and our publication is a reflection of our different tastes. We’re primarily an online publication but we hope to begin putting out an annual print issue beginning in 2013. |
| What type of submissions are you looking for?: | If it can be considered literary in any way, we will consider it–genre is okay if it’s not straight genre. We like humor, we like serious. We like dark and light. Traditional, realist, experimental, surreal. We want it all. |
| Tell us about upcoming events or contests: | We have a special issue coming out in October 2012 called the B-Movie Edition, which will feature the best “bad” work we can find. Our first print issue is slated for publication in early 2013 and we hope to run a contest in the fall of 2012. |
