Black Scat Review, a magazine of sublime art & literature, is published irregularly and features innovative fiction, art, erotica, photography, interviews, and excerpts from forthcoming Black Scat Books. We are particularly interested in works designed to disrupt, disorient, and smash boundaries?academic, cultural, literary, and philosophical.
We publish experimental fiction, absurdist humor, oulipian texts, ‘pataphysics, Dada, and eccentric texts in translation.
Submissions
We welcome queries from artists and writers. However, please be familiar with the material we publish before contacting us. We do not publish unsolicited poetry. We expect submissions from those who have read the magazines and/or books we publish.
Now accepting manuscripts for TYPO #3. Deadline: August 15th.
Manuscripts should be either Word doc or docx, Mac Pages. Maximum length: 1,500 words.
Manuscript must contain your name and email address.
ARTWORK: Submit high resolution (300 dpi) black & white / grayscale images; acceptable formats: JPEG, TIFF, PNG.
Our page size: 6 x 9 inches.
Previously published material and simultaneous submissions will not be considered.
Reporting time: Less than 2 weeks.
