About the Publication
Cut+Paste Magazine is an art and photography magazine designed to be more than just a magazine—it’s a creative tool. Each issue features a carefully curated selection of work from artists, photographers, and designers, offering visual inspiration that can be cut up, repurposed, and used in your own projects. Whether you’re journaling, crafting, or creating collages, Cut+Paste is made to be incorporated in whatever way sparks your creativity. Unlike traditional magazines meant to sit on a shelf, Cut+Paste is made to be interactive. There are no ads, and almost every page is free of text—just carefully arranged visuals for creative use. Some pages feature full-page artwork, while others have multiple smaller prints, but nothing overlaps. Every piece is formatted so that cutting out a print on one side aligns with a print on the other, ensuring nothing is ruined in the process. We love seeing creative people use our magazines in new ways. Don’t know where to start? Here are a few ideas to get you started: Art & Junk Journaling – Add striking photography and textures to your journal spreads. Collage & Mixed Media – Cut and layer images to create something entirely new. Mail Art & Pen Pal Letters – Use cut-outs to decorate envelopes and stationery. Mood Boards & Inspiration Walls – Use the magazine’s curated imagery to spark ideas. Standalone Prints & Gallery Walls – Frame or display your favorite pieces as they are. Whether you’re a seasoned artist, an emerging photographer, or someone who just enjoys crafting and creative projects, Cut+Paste welcomes all types of creatives. Each issue features a wide range of styles from contributors around the world, offering inspiration and fresh materials to work with. We also love supporting new and emerging artists. If you’re a photographer, illustrator, or designer interested in being featured, we encourage you to submit your work! Every issue is carefully curated to showcase a variety of aesthetics, and we’re always on the lookout for unique creative voices.
Submissions
Cut+Paste Magazine is looking for visually compelling submissions that inspire creativity and can be used in creative projects. The magazine primarily features photography, illustration, collage, and other visual art forms that work well as standalone prints. Each issue follows a specific theme, and contributors are encouraged to interpret that theme in their own unique way while ensuring their work aligns with the overall aesthetic of the magazine. Submissions are accepted on a quarterly basis, with each issue having a themed submission window. In between these themed calls, we also offer an open submission opportunity where artists can send in their best piece, regardless of theme. This allows for a wider range of styles and subjects while still maintaining the high-quality, inspiring work that Cut+Paste is known for. Because Cut+Paste is designed for hands-on use—where readers can cut out and repurpose the included artwork—submissions should be high-quality, high-resolution, and formatted to work well in print. Square submissions are accepted, but images in standard print sizes (such as 5×7 or 8×10) are often more versatile. The magazine does not include overlapping elements or text on top of submitted images, so artwork should be strong enough to stand alone.
Upcoming
“Everyday Object” submissions are currently open until April 14th, 2025. Our next themed submission period will be for “Fairytale” and will open in June of 2025
