Tiny Tales of Terror, The Magazine
Website
From the Editor
We love what scares you. Because horror is so closely linked to suspense, we also take psychological horror or suspense stories. We love classic horror, where monsters are monsters, not boyfriends. Something that will make you gasp at the end, (even if only to yourself.) We’re also looking for stories that stick with you long after the last page is read. We’re open to nearly all settings and themes, from historical, modern, supernatural, real, and even the future. It doesn’t matter to use if you haven’t published before. What’s matters most is the quality of your story.
Submissions
What type of submissions are you looking for? We love what scares you. Because horror is so closely linked to suspense, we also take psychological horror or suspense stories. We love classic horror, where monsters are monsters, not boyfriends. Something that will make you gasp at the end, (even if only to yourself.) We’re also looking for stories that stick with you long after the last page is read. We’re open to nearly all settings and themes, from historical, modern, supernatural, real, and even the future. It doesn’t matter to use if you haven’t published before. What’s matters most is the quality of your story. What We’re NOT Looking For: No “torture porn” or stories that are just about torture. Gore and adult themes are fine, but they should serve the story, not be the story. No stories based on other people’s characters or worlds. No fan fiction of any kind. Derivative works based on characters that out of copyright (such Frankenstein or Dracula) are fine. We reserve the right to refuse any story if we believe that the character/world is still under copyright/trademark. No chapters or excerpts of longer works (unless the excerpt works as a stand-alone story.) No non-fiction or poetry. Manuscript Requirements: Manuscripts should be up to 5,000 words in length. This is a firm limit, so longer submissions will not be considered. Please follow proper manuscript formatting. Also ensure that your manuscript is proofread prior to turning it in. We do not heavily edit submissions or print those that need heavy editing. Manuscripts should be submitted in DOC, DOCX, or RTF formats. All submissions must be in English. We accept electronic submissions only by sending the submission to “submission(at)Tiny Tales of Terror .com” (no quotes or spaces for email.) Place the word “Submission” in your subject line. We do require a brief cover letter with your contact information. Submissions sent through other means will not be read. Queries are not accepted. We want to see finished, polished works only. We request only one submission at a time.
