Litbreak Magazine
Website
From the Editor
Litbreak Magazine was founded in December of 2015 by Jason Chambers and edited by Dennis Haritou with signature photography by Jason Rice. We publish a wide mix of literary fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry. We have a sister site, Three Guys One Book, that was founded in 2008. That site, which publishes reviews, essays and short literary autobiographies, does not accept submissions. However, all writers who are accepted on Litbreak Magazine are invited to contribute a literary autobiography to Three Guys One Book if they wish. There are no fees or deadlines. If accepted, writers are notified when their work will appear. All published work is linked to our Facebook Litbreak page which has 1,000+ likes and, if accepted Litbreak writers contribute a autobiographical essay for Three Guys One Book, a link to that essay appears on Three Guys One Book Facebook page which has 1,300+ likes. A link will also appear on our combined Three Guys/Litbreak Twitter page and on the editor’s Facebook page
Submissions
We aim to present as diverse a mix as possible of geographic area, gender and ethnicity. We frequently accept international writers. We enjoy accepting unpublished novel excerpts. We publish poetry often, either individual poems or poetic sequences. We publish both flash fiction and extended stories. All work submitted must be previously unpublished. Submissions may be of any length. We accept simultaneous submissions, but please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere. All submitters must be at least 18 years of age. While we aspire to present the most diverse of literary approaches possible, we insist upon a demonstration of craft. Submissions need to be as publish-ready as possible. A brief biography and your photo is requested but not required. See our submissions policy for further details.
We don’t accept unsolicited interviews or translations.
