Adelaide Literary Magazine
Website
From the Editor
We publish literary fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, and promote the writers we publish, helping both new, emerging, and established authors reach a wider literary audience.
Adelaide – from the French form of the Germanic name Adalheidis, which was composed of the elements adal “noble” and heid “kind, sort, type”.
We believe that the craft of writing is a “noble sort” or rather a noble endeavor worthy of every praise.
Thereby, the name of our publication was chosen accordingly – Adelaide.
The Adelaide Literary Magazine is an independent international monthly publication, based in New York (US), and Lisbon (Portugal). Founded by Stevan V. Nikolic and Adelaide Franco Nikolic in 2015, the magazine’s aim is to publish quality poetry, fiction, nonfiction, artwork, and photography, as well as interviews, articles, and book reviews, written in English and Portuguese. Most of our content comes from unsolicited submissions.
We publish print, digital, and online editions of our magazine twelve times a year. Online edition is updated continuously. There are no charges for reading the magazine online.
Through our imprint Adelaide Books, we publish novels, memoirs, and collections of short stories, poems, and essays by contributing authors of our magazine. We believe that in doing so, we best fulfill the mission outlined in Adelaide Magazine.
The Adelaide Magazine accepts interviews with both new, emerging, and established Authors. Size limit for written interviews is 5000 words. We also accept video and audio interview files.
Submitting an interview to the Adelaide Literary Magazine is free. If accepted for release, we publish interviews in order we receive them.

Adelaide Literary Award Anthology is a special issue of the Adelaide Literary Magazine which includes works by winning authors and finalists of our Literary Award Contests.

I am one of your published poets! I kept emailing you to say 2 of the selected poems have been published elsewhere! But you ignored. And you used the WRONG PHOTO for me.
