Information about your publication: | Coldnoon is a journal of travel poetics that envisions travel not as flux but instead as gaps in travelling itself. ?Coldnoon? means a shadowed instant in time when the inertia of motion of images, thoughts and spectacles comes to rest upon a still and cold moment. A sudden break motion leads to the cooling off of a particle and this temperate moment is essential to the rapid merging of visions and an involuntary expression of this kaleidoscope. Our travels are not of trade or imagining communities, they are towards the reporting of purposeless and unselfconscious narratives the human mind experiences when left in a vacuum between terminals of travel. Coldnoon publishes poetry, non-fiction, play-excerpts, criticism, book reviews, monologues, monographs, dialogues, travelogues, etc on the subjects of travel, travel ideology and travel poetics. |
What type of submissions are you looking for?: | SUBMISSIONS Be objective and try to write on experiences of travel as far as possible. Do not use imaginary travel as a subject. Versifying from travel guide books is a welcome option as long as we do not perceive it as ostensibly derived. Submit at least five poems in MS Word or PDF format with a proper statement in the body of your email confirming yourself as the writer. Kindly refrain from identifying yourself except providing us your name and place of stay. We will not be interested in any other details, especially biographical, which may lead to your poems being summarily rejected. Ensure that the poems are proofread and submitted in the desired lineation. Coldnoon is now also accepting criticism and reviews pertaining to the subject of ?Poetry in travel, Travel poetry and the Poetics of Travel?. The essays and reviews should not be of more than 2500 words. All submissions should be made along-with proper referencing and citations in MLA format. We may frequently require editing your work for which your consultation will be necessary. You will be notified of the acceptance of your poems within 15 days from the date of submission deadline. The deadlines for submissions are as follows: For the Issue of ?1. September ? 15th August 2. December ? 15th November 3. March ? 15th February 4. June ? 15th May |
