About the Publisher
Eudaimonia is defined as a state of human flourishing, a life well-lived. This word fuels our mission at Eudaimonia Review. At Eudaimonia Review, we aim to showcase the talents of young writers across the world. Our goal is to not only give these writers a chance to be heard, but to spread awareness of various mental health issues. We want to recognize the heavy importance and weight of the topics we deal with daily, specifically in the younger population, who has so much to give and say. We want to provide the opportunity to share such thoughts. Our commonality is that we are all on our journey to eudaimonia, and writing and reading aids us. Our mission is to cultivate a healthy space that gives writers and readers a chance to feel understood. We publish writers aged 13-20 and welcome a variety of genres, particularly poetry, prose, short stories, essays, and creative non-fiction. Each submission is responded to within a month and the writer will receive brief feedback as well. It’s important to us at Eudaimonia Review to provide feedback with every response because each piece is equally valued and important. Everyone deserves the chance to learn, grow, and improve. With this comes the opportunity of, upon rejection of a previous issue, submitting again when the window opens for the next issue. Growth is incredibly essential within our magazine, and we would not promote it if we didn’t truly encourage it. The special thing about Eudaimonia Review is that it is a magazine run by teenagers, to spotlight teenagers, for teenagers to read. It’s a space dedicated to cultivating youth and offering an opportunity to be understood. We hope you will submit, and we look forward to reading your thoughts and valuable contributions. You are important and valued here. Thank you for being a part of our joint eudaimonia.
Submissions
We are looking for submissions from teenage writers aged 13-20 years. We welcome a variety of genres, but particularly enjoy poetry, prose, short stories, essays, and creative nonfiction. The submissions should be under 3000 words in length and each submission is limited to 3 pieces, preferably beneath the same genre. However, our magazine is purposefully flexible- if your piece has something meaningful to say, submit it! In submissions, we look for a voice that moves readers and relates to the teenage population through mental health. Mental health awareness is an incredibly important subject to us and is the basis of what our magazine runs for. We look for submissions that are not afraid to recognize the struggles experienced by our youth and detail the societal joint journey to eudaimonia. Such a journey is uniquely personal to everyone- which is what we hope to highlight in our magazine within our seasonal issues.
