From the Editor
Indiana Voice Journal exists to promote the unheard voices of new writers alongside the more familiar voices of experienced authors. As a monthly online literary journal, we consider short fiction, poetry, essays, visual art, and interviews. Always looking for regional stories and writers with an Indiana connection, but will consider, publish, and appreciate everything sent to us. Great art begins as a “seed” to be nourished and loved into maturity. Creativity will never be confined to a geographic location.
We want to hear YOUR voice. We seek work that breathes and moves and is alive. We believe that “good art” comes forth from the spirit to reveal, to comfort, to heal, to bring joy, to surprise!
We read on a continuous basis and publish online at the beginning of each month. Our goal is to get back to you promptly, and you should hear back from us within a few weeks of our acknowledging your submission. After we publish your piece, we acquire ‘non-exclusive electronic rights’ which means it can be reprinted elsewhere, but we get to archive it.
Our goal is to move beyond an online presence and into a print journal or an anthology of works compiled from our website.
We invite you to dance along with us on our journey.
