Mash Stories is a flash fiction platform aimed at uncovering new talent. Our competition runs continuously with new “keywords” every quarter. Can you take three randomly-chosen words and mash them into a story of 500 words or fewer? Take the Mash challenge! All shortlisted stories are published on our website AND professionally narrated for our weekly podcast.
Submissions
All genres are welcome. As long as all three keywords appear in the body of the story and it’s 500 words or fewer, send it over!
Upcoming
April 15 – July 15: Keywords are “congress,” “art” and “jealousy.” Winner announced May 15.
July 15 – New keywords will be announced with a deadline of October 15. Winner announced Nov. 15.
October 15 – New keywords will be announced with a deadline of January 15. Winner announced Feb 15.
And so on…
