Midwest Review
Website
From the Editor
The Midwest Review is an annual literary and arts magazine published in Madison Wisconsin, featuring the Midwest in work by writers, photographers and artists who live in, or have lived in, the Midwest. We consider the Midwest as the region in the north central United States that includes the Great Lakes area and the upper Mississippi River valley (according to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Midwest is comprised of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, and Missouri). Of course, the Midwest is also a state of mind. The Midwest Review (formerly the Midwest Prairie Review) was established in 2013 to showcase the Midwest’s best and freshest short fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and art, as well as to celebrate the full spectrum of voices that emerge from, and are influenced by, this diverse place.
