From the Editor
Modern Literature (www.modernliterature.org) is an online literary journal that has an ambitious aim of blooming into an international literary hub for established, emerging and new literary talent. The journal aims at publishing a wide variety of articles (fiction, non fiction, poetry, arts&politics) that attempt to broaden and stretch the boundaries of the established norms of how a literary work should be. The magazine has audience from across the world and there is no submission fee/reading fee at present.
Every attempt is made to contact authors from various sources (media, internet, web portals etc) to solicit their participation in ML. And all incoming submissions are reviewed by the Editor/Editorial Board quickly and creative feed back provided to upcoming authors swiftly, for revised submissions. The magazine has been consistent in maintaining a good looking web portal (from technology perspective). ML also has reasonably good social media presence. It has so far featured authors from all the continents. ML also curates a lot of literary events, depending on feasibility and practical considerations. Creative suggestions are always welcomed from both current and prospective authors. Due to its non-profit structure, unfortunately ML is not able to offer cash remuneration to authors whose articles are published.
Submissions
Modern Literature welcomes all types and formats of literary works. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, arts & politics are broad topics and authors are welcome to submit their articles through email.
It is desirable that the works submitted are preferably experimental, as ML’s avowed objective is to provide a platform for literature that stretches and redefines the established boundaries of literature.
ML also welcomes works from fresh authors and curated works from literary workshops.
Articles for republication are also welcome.
Freelancers who can contribute interviews with authors are also welcome to submit their work.
Due to its non profit nature, ML is at present not able to offer cash remuneration to authors whose works are published.
