From the Editor
The Pilcrow & Dagger Literary Journal features original and creative short stories, essays, and poetry from writers from all walks-of-life. We will publish 8 issues per year with our premier issue coming out online and available on this site on January 15, 2015. The second issue will be released on March 1st. Submissions open for BOTH of these issues on September 1st.
Each issue is assigned a theme. The theme for January is Winter Tales – please no holiday stories. The theme for March is Spring Cleaning. Ideas for the January issue can include winter sports, winter storms, poems about hot chocolate – whatever. Our March theme is a little more flexible. Stories submitted can focus on works that authors started but never finished. It can also include stories about strange items found during a spring cleaning.
