smoking glue gun is an independent, online, poetry & arts magazine and chapbook press. we publish a volume of art, writing, sound, & other quarterly online. we also publish handmade chapbooks through our annual chapbook contest. |
What type of submissions are you looking for? |
we are looking for submissions of all things poetry: text, sound, video, image, hybrid, etc. we want art & writing that is fresh & human. we like art that startles us. we like art that experiments. we like writing that is fresh & human: grotesque, flashy, or subtle. we think poetry is not limited to text & we love when it is mixed with medium. |

smoking glue gun’s 1st annual chapbook contest is open now (from January 1, 2013-August 1, 2013). ubmissions must be previously unpublished and 18-40 pages in length. we welcome submissions containing any type of art; that is, writing, visual art, photography, hybrid, etc. we also welcome co-authored chapbooks. the reading fee is $7. winner(s) will be published as a limited release of 200 hand-made chapbooks in early 2014. the winning author will receive 50 contributor copies. smoking glue gun is hosting a reading with OHNO books at AWP 2013. we’ll be at Trident Books on friday, march 8th at 6pm. readers include carina finn & matt hart. |
