Information about your publication: | Solecisms is an online literary magazine with the goal of showcasing the work of writers, regardless of whether their work conforms to certain standards. We hope to grow a community here through our love of creativity, one that will hopefully produce fruitful works of both literature and other mediums. We are a group of individuals who love writing, but find that many of the literary publications out there are more concerned with convention than creativity. In order to remedy this, we banded together to offer a more open sort of literary magazine. By open, we mean open to unorthodox work, and open with our readers, both about what we want for our magazine and what we desire from our writers. Through this, we hope to cultivate both a loyal reader base and and high standard of published work, showcasing the best these contributors have to offer. |
What type of submissions you are looking for: | For the moment, we are interested exclusively in fiction and creative non-fiction pieces of no more than 5000 words (by creative non-fiction, we simply mean all non-fiction pieces short of scholarly articles). However, this is merely the beginning, and we hope to expand to other creative areas rapidly. If you wish to submit a piece, or have any questions about our magazine, please see our contact page, and thank you for visiting Solecisms. |
