Information about your publication: | Soul Vomit is an annual anthology and literary magazine published by Broken Publications. This is a themed anthology; for 2012’s anthology publication, the theme is domestic violence and its aftermath. 2012 will be the first ever publication of this anthology, so we need submissions. Soul Vomit is edited by Jennifer-Crystal Johnson, who also does book reviews on the Soul Vomit web site. Because it is still in development, there may be some changes going on as far as the web site goes in order to publish more work by various authors and make it available online. Visit the site often to see updates and news. |
What type of submissions you are looking for: | For the 2012 issue, we’re looking for poetry, prose, art (black and white for inclusion in the magazine, color for anthology cover consideration), and short fiction and essays. Because the theme is domestic violence and it isn’t a pretty topic, be aware that this will mean content could be graphic in nature. The option to remain an anonymous contributor is available, but must be specified in the submission cover letter. |
Information on Contests: | We will publish at the beginning of December, 2012 each year – in time for Christmas. 2012 will be the first issue, and our next theme will be announced after the current issue is published. On the web site, we will also be reviewing books to start and potentially publishing other works. There is no charge for this service. Please submit a query via the contact form for further information and instructions. |
