STRIKE Magazine is a completely independent, community supported, working class political art and culture magazine in South Texas. STRIKE Magazine is a publication that employs democratic editorial methods. STRIKE makes no distinction between contributor and editor with the exception of regularly appearing series. We don’t care who you are or where you come from. Editorial decisions are made without knowledge of the author’s name or background. STRIKE considers all material it receives. STRIKE encourages public participation in its creation and production. STRIKE’s Mission: The “Mass Strike” represents an expression of the power of common people to create fundamental historic and revolutionary social change through collective action. STRIKE Magazine looks at this process through the medium of art and the ability of artists, despite class boundaries, to break away from the conventions of contemporary aesthetics. STRIKE Magazine seeks to present new and alternative looks at art, criticism, poetry, fiction and culture to the public and to provide an independent publishing medium for artists and writers. |
