| Information about your publication: | The Four Cornered Universe is an online journal which is dedicated to publishing high-quality fiction, poetry, and nonfiction essays. We publish 2-5 new pieces on Mondays. Submissions are considered on a rolling basis, and you should expect to hear back from us within a month. We accept previously unpublished authors as well as established ones. At this time, we do not provide financial compensation for accepted pieces. We simply provide authors with a place to showcase their talents and promote their writing. However, the site remains free for anyone to access, not requiring subscriptions or any kind of contest entry fees. Hopefully that’s a fair trade for now. |
| What type of submissions you are looking for: | We consider short stories, serial fiction, poetry, and nonfiction essays of all genres. The majority of fiction we accept might be classified as speculative, satirical, and/or literary, though if your story has a compelling plot and characters, we would be more than happy to consider it for publication. |
