We accept a wide range of material, although we typically reject gratuitous sex, violence, and overtly religious themes. Of course, what constitutes “gratuitous” or “overt” is a matter of opinion, so feel free to send what you’ve got and we’ll take a look to see if it meets our current needs. There are no length restrictions on poetry. You may submit up to 3 poems at a time. All poems should be included in the same document. We are looking for: Literary Poetry, Prose Poetry, and Vignette Poetry – ?slice of life.? We are not looking for: Rhyming, Teenage Angst, and Suicidal. There is no minimum word count for prose, but we do ask that it be kept below 5,000 words. You may submit 1 piece at a time. We accept both short stories and flash fiction. What We Are Looking For: Literary Fiction – of all types, Mystery/Crime, Suspense/Thriller, Horror – not too hardcore, but you can make us squirm a little bit.What We Sometimes Accept: SciFi/Fantasy, Western, Erotica – not too hardcore, think more R-rated, Romance – should have a strong plot, Creative Non-Fiction – should still preserve a fiction format and feel. What We Are Not Looking For: Hardcore Erotica, Hardcore Horror, Self-Promoting Material – book reviews, stories that feature one?s own work. |
