Information about your publication: | We publish short stories by new and emerging writers, we do not publish poetry, detective, stream of conscience, erotica, western or sci-fi. Always send a query with summary and first paragraph for evaluation. Most of the time, we will leave complete unsolicited submissions alone until we “get around” to reading them. |
What type of submissions you are looking for: | New polished works by new and emerging writers. Since we seldom hire an editor, we request that all stories be properly formatted, spell and grammar checked and lastly properly identified for copyright and credits. We want stories that make one think about their life and circumstances; unfulfilled dreams or ambitions; love lost and or found; friendships; hardships and family angst; happy or sad endings; travel and lastly, growing old. |
Information on Contests: | At this time we do not offer competitions but may pursue this route sometime in 2012. Currently we want to begin a best of… each year. A compiliation or collection of the year’s best stories from each issue in one paperback or case bound book… |
