From the Editor
The Wise Owl is a literary & arts e-magazine (Monthly) founded in November 2021. We feature established poets, writers as well as artists in our magazine and also provide a free platform to showcase writings (poetry, short stories, critique, travelogue, musings, essay, reviews etc) and art work (watercolours, photographs, graphic designs, oils etc) of upcoming poets, writers and artists. We ensure that our works are creative, literary and aesthetic. Our editorial Team works hard to ensure that only works of quality are published in our magazine. We are aiming at a global audience and do not want the magazine to be restricted to any particular geographical area or place. In fact, in our January Edition we did a ‘Haiku special’ where we had poets from USA, U.K and India writing for us. We showcase the works in aesthetically designed layouts and use our own photographs to enhance and add to the works that we publish. To give our magazine a distinctive flavour we use a consistent colour theme. For instance in our January Edition we have used shades of white and ivory and hence called our edition the Pearl Edition. Our magazine has two distinct sections i.e. the Literary Section and the Visual Art section. A liitle more about our layout. The Literary section is further divided into a Featured writer section which includes the interview of an established poet/writer, Fiction section, Non-fiction section and reviews (Film, OTT releases & book). this format is replicated in our visual art section. We have featured some award winning writers and artists like Arundhathi Subramaniam and Tejbir Singh. In our Feb Edition we will be featuring a well-known Denmark based writer and poet and under the Visual Art section we will showcasing the art of a Norway based watercolour artist. We want to make our magazine one that every lover of literature and art is addicted to.
