| Information about your publication: | Whitewash Dreams is an American, online literary magazine founded in 2011 and based on Long Island in Hicksville, New York. The name derives from the poem ?Whitewash Dreams?, written by the founder in his college years. There is one line from the poem that embodies the purpose of this magazine: ?I want to make his existence someone?s poetry.? The goal of Whitewash Dreams is to move our readers with literature, to make them think, and question their own semiotics. Our bi-annual publications include fiction, creative-nonfiction, poetry, essays, and visual artworks. Whitewash Dreams is a place for ideas to converge on all types of literature and to make writer?s words our reader?s poetry. |
| What type of submissions you are looking for: | The editors strongly encourage potential contributors to familiarize themselves with Whitewash Dreams. Simultaneous submissions are fine as long as you notify us upon acceptance elsewhere. We prefer online submissions: SEND WORK TO WHITEWASH DREAMS HERE All paper submissions must include a self-addressed, sufficiently stamped envelope for notification. Manuscripts will be recycled, so don?t send your only copy. If sending both prose and poetry, please use separate envelopes. Whitewash Dreams does not accept unsolicited email submissions. PROSE (fiction, flash fiction, and creative non-fiction): Prose submissions should be no longer than 8,000 words?one longer piece or up to three flash fictions per reading period, unless otherwise noted on our website. POETRY Send 3-5 poems per reading period; no more than 10 pages total, unless otherwise noted on our website (i.e. themed issues). |
