Wolves and Mermaids Literary Journal celebrates the voices of women, adding them to the literary cannon. For years, the stories told by women have been the backbone of origins.Wolves and Mermaids forges a line between being rooted in reality and being fostered through myth. We are seeking work that echoes deep into the intersections of race and gender; we want writing that shakes the cultural fusions apart and opens up new narratives.

Submissions

We are looking for fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and art work that exemplifies the craft of diverse authors. We accept work from all women, but are especially interested in women of color narratives. Unfortunately we are not able to accept work from cis-men, as this is a small venture to bridge the gap in the literary world.

Wolves and Mermaids publishes one print issue annually and publishes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry online submissions, quarterly.
