Process & Publishing Rights
If you are chosen for publication with EWR:
- An EWR editor reserves the right to make small changes, including editing, reformatting and adding a new graphic.
- We will contact you and let you see the changes as well as assist you in editing/revising your bio if we feel it’s necessary.
- We will publish your article on our site, and share the link on several social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
We hold the first time digital rights to the article. We do ask that you not publish your written work elsewhere online, though publishing said work in a future book or novel is perfectly acceptable.
Our heart is to support writers, and with that said, we want your writing to look great and for EWR to be a fantastic addition to your portfolio! We will help you.
The one thing we WILL NOT DO, is take the article down so you can publish it elsewhere. This has happened in the past. Writers publish the same piece over and over again, wait a year, then have it removed. Once it is on our site, and you are happy with it, we will not remove in most cases.
Photos/Bio
If you submit a photo with your work, please tell us where it is from and who owns the photo. We reserve the right to change or modify any photo or bio submitted for formatting or any other purpose.
Please also note, once you have submitted your article to our site for publication, and we agree to publish it, we take first time rights and therefore the right to change or edit the article. Please do not misrepresent yourself as a writer and then be promoting a company for shady SEO purposes. If you do this, we generally will keep and publish your article without links, contact the company you are promoting, and report your activities to the proper authorities in the US and whatever other country you are living in. We have contacted companies about these practices and dishonesty and how the writing was misrepresented.
Literary Magazines
We are asking for longer and more detailed reviews. Please try to fill out the Information section, please include at least 300 word summary of the publication. If you include a picture we would like for it to be a magazine cover. If you do not have one, we will take a logo. If you do not include enough details, we will not publish your listing. We are sorry about this, but we must do this to comply with search engine rules.
