just words by Jo-Anne Carlson

just
words

by Jo-Anne Carlson

amorous attachment ambling along acrid
avenues
becomes beacon-bright – beyond
beautiful,
committing cranial cogitation carefully
crafted,
due diligence demanded despite desperate
desire,
entrancing Epiphany, emollient ego

fanatical fantasies framed from fugues,
ghastly ghoul-like grottos, gestating,
hallucinatory halos hiding hatred,
inured, impolitic inside impure
iridescence,
jaundiced jade, jubilant jouster –

karma kindles kaleidoscopic kernels,
laughing lasciviously, lunar loon,
leaving
maidens meandering, morose memorials,
nude nostalgia neither neurotic nor
nubile,
o’er opulent ostentation oscillating
onward

preaching prurient praise pervades
quiescent quotients quivering quickly,
reverberating – rebound, rotate, rewind
– releasing
silences supported somberly, seeking
semblances
through tremulous tokens

under umbilical utterances united using
unctuous
verbiage vying violently, valiant,
voluptuous,
winding within weathered wounds, while
Xanadu-xenophobic xylograph,
yet yawning yellow, yields
Zephyr’s zenith

Jo-Anne Carlson is a lover of art in all its forms. She started exploring her world through writing, painting and singing from an early age, fascinated by the shapes and sounds of nature and the vagaries of the human mind. She loves the creative process, willing to stretch her boundaries until they no longer exist. Each day brings a renewed desire to try something new, or perfect an idea.
