The 2024 6 Word Memoir Contest: This is Your Life!
As 2023 draws to a close, we invite you to deeply reflect on the past year and your life journey thus far. What were the most pivotal, meaningful or impactful moments that have shaped you into who you are today?
We want you to distill your reflections into a single 6-word memoir that captures the essence of your life story and what matters most. This memoir can encompass anything – perhaps a tragedy or triumph, a special relationship, an epiphany or newly discovered passion.
Choose your words thoughtfully and craft a memoir that conveys the uniqueness of your personal story. Feel free to get creative in how you convey significance within the confines of just six words!
The most emotionally “moving” memoir, the one that truly resonates with and stirs readers, will be chosen as the winner. So be vulnerable and authentic. Share both the moments that built your character and the ones that revealed it.
Your memoir might highlight a major fork in the road, the love of a family member or friend who lifted you up, an “aha” realization that changed your perspective. Or it could capture the very essence of who you are.
Whatever your six words, make them count. Sum up your life in a way that gives readers goosebumps and helps them feel a heartfelt connection to you and your journey.
Unleash your storytelling prowess and make us feel something!
