Ghostly whispers float
Through misty graveyards at dusk
Veil between worlds thins
Pale lips part, reveal
Fangs gleam in candlelight’s glow
Neck pulses, time stops
Jack-o’-lanterns grin
Children’s laughter fills the streets
Treats sweeten the dark
Cobwebs veil doorways
A black cat’s eyes gleam yellow
Witch’s cauldron steams
Cobwebs in corners
Spiders weave their silken traps
Dust motes catch moonbeams
